Anna Baget

Catalonian violinist, trained in Barcelona under the direction of Gerard Claret and Goncal Comellas. She continued her studies at the Indiana University (U.S.A.) where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Violin and Pedagogy studying with Franco Gulli, Yuval Yaron and Mimi Zweig.

As a soloist, she has played with the Chamber Orchestra “Solistas de Catalunya”, the Quito Symphonic Orchestra and the “Pablo Sarasate” Symphonic Orchestra in Pamplona. She forms a duet with pianist Aníbal Bañados.

She is violin teacher at the Music Professional Conservatory “Adolfo Salazar”, Madrid and the Queen Sofia Higher School of Music in Madrid. She is also violin teacher at the “Summer String Academy” at Indiana University, USA and at the summer classes “Cátedra de Música Emili Pujol” in Cervera.

Her interest in pedagogy has led her to develop systematic training techniques for string teachers. She is regularly invited to give classes in: Ministry of Education and Science, Spanish Young National Orchestra, Madrid Government, Basque Country University, Alcalá de Henares University, Castilla la Mancha University, “Music Stage of Cambra”, ”Course for music professors and teachers Stage 2000” from “La Caixa”, Jaén University, Tarragona Government, Music Schools of the Barcelona City Council. In the spring of 2002 she was invited to give masterly classes at the Gossec Conservatory in Paris and to make a concerts tour with her pupils in different cultural organizations in Paris.
